In Arena Racing™, drivers race real, one-half-scale stock cars-capable of speeds up to 100 mph outdoors-on a custom-designed, high-banked indoor track. Each individual Arena Racing series event includes up to four qualifying heats and four "main" races, as well as a Top Dog championship race. Since this is "spec class" racing, every car must adhere exactly to league rules for build and performance. This ensures that no team has a mechanical advantage and makes the skill of the drivers, the crew chiefs and the spotters the difference between winning and losing. Arena Racing™ drivers range from up-and-coming professionals to weekend speed-junkies looking to live a dream. They are professionals, fully sponsored by some of the biggest names in the game. Our racing season runs from mid-October to mid-March, giving you 15 events thru the off season to give you a fix for the need for exciting racing. Welcome to RMVR Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing is a non-profit club of more than 500 members who are vintage racing enthusiasts. Our club’s primary focus is the organization, production, and sanctioning of vintage car races in the Rocky Mountain region. We have over 500 eligible cars over thirty years old. Familiar names include Austin Healey, Corvette, Lotus, MG, Mini, Porsche, Triumph, Formula Ford and Formula Vee. In addition, some more exotic and perhaps lesser known names such as McLaren, Lola, Abarth, Morgan, Siata and Zink participate in our events. Engines range from less than 1000cc to more than 6 liters of “ground-pounding” force. As Charter Members of the national Vintage Motorsports Council, we are pledged to “promote the preservation of these cars in a racing format which emphasizes driver safety and etiquette.” To achieve this goal, we have developed our own team of race officals including Event Chairs, Race Stewards, Registrars, Corner Marshalls, Starters, Tech Inspectors, and Timing and Scoring and Pit and Grid Staff. The TVRCCNA was organized in 1981 by founder Marq Ruben. Originally, we were a part of the TVR Car Club of England and Marq was the one who envisioned a separate club to serve North America. The rest is history. Sadly, our founder, Marq Ruben passed away in April, 2007. He was a visionary for starting and running the TVR Car Club North America for over 20 years. He is greatly missed. We continue to be very active with a membership base of over 450 members. Our club magazine, the TVR Times, is published quarterly for the membership and features event coverage, technical articles, information on club regalia, classified ads, members cars stories, etc, plus each issue includes the newsletter for the Griffith Motorcar Club International which focuses on the V8 powered Griffith 200 and 400 models. The TVRCCNA is dedicated to the preservation and maintenance of the TVR marque and it is through the club that our members continue to learn, to educate others, and to spread the word throughout North America about TVR.
