Vintage Racing League Co-Founder
Stephen has extensive Vintage racing experience. He owns and drives three vintage open wheel Formula cars: a 1976 FF Crossle; a 1980 March Formula Atlantic; and a 1977 Formula One Shadow DN8.
Stephen's racing experiences with CVAR (the Southwest's leading Vintage Racing Club) and with international events to include Formula One, IRL, ChampCar, Goodwood and the La Carerra Panamericana were pivotal in framing the business plan for the Vintage Racing League. At CVAR, he was the 2003 FF2, 2004 & 2005 Open Wheel Enduro and 2006 Formula Atlantic Champion.
Prior to co-founding the Vintage Racing League, Stephen built three successful companies as Founder and CEO of Page-Wheatcroft & Co., Ltd; ejobs, Inc and bpmx LLC.
At Page-Wheatcroft & Co., Ltd., a senior level executive search firm with offices in Dallas, New York, Washington and London, Stephen built Leadership teams for many of the world's largest consulting, legal and technology companies.
ejobs, Inc., grew to 130 employees and achieved $20+ million in revenue outsourcing recruiting functions for large companies.
At bpmx, Stephen and a senior team worked with large companies to design and implement value creation strategies to commercialize internally developed operating platforms.
Prior to Page-Wheatcroft & Co., Ltd., Stephen re-engineered the back office for two large American Banks and spent four plus years in Europe, supporting the American Armed forces with top secret technology services.
Stephen was born in London and attended London University as part of British Telecom's Executive Management program. He received degrees in Mathematics and Telecommunications and is a graduate of Harvard's Executive Management program - Leadership in Professional Services. Stephen is a Board Member of www.riverlogic.com, a leading Business Intelligence company.
Joe Heitzler,
Vintage Racing League Co-Founder
Joe has extensive motor racing industry, event management, sponsor acquisition and sports programming experience.
Joe is Founder and President of Entertainment Management Group (EMG), headquartered in Los Angeles and Mexico City. EMG is a multinational corporation specializing in large event management for sports and entertainment.
Prior to EMG, Joe directed Grand Inc., a Mexican corporation responsible for all operations, promotions and administration of two Mexican race track facilities and 2 annual ChampCar series races.
The four races organized under Joe's leadership attracted over 1.2 million people and generated over $30 million in revenues on an annual basis. As CEO, Joe directed Grand to achieve total revenues of $186 million through 250 professionals.
In addition, Joe was Chairman & CEO of ChampCar, Inc. (NYSE, MPH). As CEO of Champ, he managed 22 live auto races in eight countries annually.
Prior to Champ, as Founder & CEO, Joe grew VTE Mobile TV Sports Productions from 207 live sporting events in 1985 to over 9,000 live TV events in 1998.
VTE supplied mobile Sports Production facilities to ESPN, ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, and over 26 regional sports cable channels. Joe successfully grew VTE revenue to $138 million through 190 team members.
The company was sold to Oak Tree Capital and merged into the largest mobile TV production company in the world.
As Founder & CEO of Sports Communications, Inc., Joe represented 17 of the 1984 LA Olympic sponsors and merged SCI into VTE Mobile TV Productions.
Joe's additional business accomplishments include:
- As President & CEO of Forum Sports Entertainment, Inc., led event management operations that owned the LA Kings and LA Lakers during 2 NBA Championships.
- As Executive Producer for CBS Sports, created programming that led national sports ratings for 9+ years.
- As VP Public Relations/Communications for Six Flags, increased Six Flags revenue from $24M loss to a profitable $300 million sales increase in 7 years.
Deborah Schneider, SVP Legal
Deborah was Chief Legal Officer for ChampCar. At Champ, she negotiated and contracted all licensing, merchandising and sponsor promotion agreements.
Kika Garcia-Concheso, SVP Public Relations
Kika is a proven Public Relations expert with extensive Motorsports industry experience.
As VP of Public Relations for ChampCar, she led the Public Relations efforts that led to two of the best attended motor racing sporting events in history: 400,000+ ChampCar in Mexico City and 200,000+ in Monterrey.
Scott Murray, Vintage Racing League Advisory Board Director
For 30 years, Scott was an Award winning television sports anchor and broadcast journalist for NBC in Dallas/Ft. Worth and Washington, D.C. In his capacity as a Top 10 Market Sports Anchor, Scott covered the Indy 500, the Daytona 500, Laguna Seca, Watkins Glen, Montreal and Monte Carlo He remains an avid automotive race car enthusiast and served as host of the award-winning weekly television program, Raceweek, for close to a decade.
